Organisation WELCOME
ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
Mill Rythe Infant School, purpose-built in 1974, stands in a delightful rural setting with mature trees and grassland which provide a natural outdoor classroom. We share our extensive site with our sister Junior School and Nursery Rhymes, an independent day nursery. We are a non-denomination school and enjoy foundation status although we do not charge fees.
Children in our school are organised into different learning zones, each with a quiet area, a main classroom, a shared practical area and easy access to a computer suite.
We use our school hall for assemblies, physical education and lunches. We have a library, a kitchen providing excellent hot meals, special needs and medical areas and a dedicated room for our Nurture Group. Breakfast and after school clubs run on our site providing child care from 8.00 am and finishing at 6.00 pm.
Staff and Governors are committed to achieving the highest possible standards of social, academic and moral education for our pupils.
We live and work by our school values which reflect our ethos and the learning opportunities we give our children.
Our "Anchor" Ethos values are:
