For a period on designated afternoons children take part in a variety of special activities as a reward for good and consistent behaviour.  These activities might include games, music, crafts, gardening or outdoor play, in fact, anything that inspires both teachers and children alike to make it a real fun time and just a little bit different.

We welcome ideas and offers of support, particularly from adults with a special skill to share.  The list of activities on offer changes term to term to maintain the novelty.

Teachers and teaching assistants can take time away from children who do not adhere to school rules - in other words a child might lose 5, 10 or 15 minutes of their Friday Goldentime.  Depending upon the activity, the child will have to "sit out" at some point during the hour - supervised of course!
