Learning

The school day is varied and interesting for children. Some time is spent in whole classes, some working in small groups of five or six children, other time is spent on a one-to-one basis with the teacher or a teaching assistant giving individual attention.

Literacy and numeracy are important features in all learning and lessons are taught in line with the Government's strategies. Each day children are invited to take part in an "act of worship" (assembly).  Assemblies sometimes include visitors and are of a broadly Christian nature.  Parents have the right to withdraw their child from assembly and requests can be made to the Headteacher to do so in writing.

The teachers work very closely together planning and moderating children's work ensuring that children across each year group have similar learning experiences and expectations.
